Workshops and reports
- Homeless for One Night (request) This is a 20 – 40 minute activity to be conducted in classroom. Through a worksheet and safe discussion, students explore some of the daily challenges for those sleeping rough in Australia.
- The Salvation Army’s Social Justice Stocktake – In late 2021, The Salvation Army did a nationwide Social Justice Stocktake to get to the heart of what people were seeing in their local communities. From there, we built a map of social justice priorities across Australia. Download the National Report, State/Territory reports, or electorate reports to learn what’s at the heart of your community and the actions that can be taken to see greater justice for all.
- VCAL Integrated Unit Plan (request). This Victorian curriculum-mapped resource supports teachers to integrate The Salvation Army and social justice themes into student learning. *Please note this resource was last updated in 2016*
- ‘The Oasis and Life After the Oasis Education Resources’ Access a range of educational resources mapped to Maths, Civics and Citizenship, English and HPE curriuculum. Contact Salvos Schools for a complimentary education program facilitated by a Salvo to support your access to these resources.
