Colac Community Centre is well and truly operational at 51-57 Dennis Street Colac.
Our Community Centre is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-2. Community Drop-in, Food Distribution, Community Meals, Children's Programs and housing Salvation Army Services are just a few of the ways we seek to support our Community.

Our Activities

Shower and Laundry
Monday, Wednesday, Friday Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays - 9:00am-2:00pm
51-57 Dennis Street, Colac, VictoriaWhat better way to freshen up than with a Shower and some clean clothes.
At our Community Centre, the Showers run hot, and the Washing Machines and Dryers roll on all day long, whilst we are open from 9am - 1pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Our Laundry Services are free to use and you can use them at anytime when no one else is utilizing them.
The Showers can be used by appointment, either come into our Community Centre to enquire, call or text us on 0484 935 165, message us on Facebook or you can get in contact below.
Like all of our Services and Programs, they are free to use, no judgement and no questions needed, we are here to assist anyone where we can.

Prayer Gatherings

A deep relationship with God brings peace to all areas of our lives, and like all relationships, we need to communicate or in this case, pray.
Our Prayer Team aim to lead you in growing a deep relationship with God to bring peace and flourishing to all aspects of your life.

Market Day
Friday Fridays - 11:30-2:00
51-57 Dennis Street, Colac, VictoriaColac Salvos Market Day aims to provide the much needed Practical Assistance to help relieve the financial strain put on many in our Region.
All who use Market Day have access to Fresh Produce, Frozen Meals or Meats, Pantry goods and other kinds of Practical Assistance, there are no costs and no questions, just a helping hand.
Any and all are able to fill 3 provided shopping bags with whatever they are needing, there may be limits on some items, but this is only so the many people that come through every week have the same ability to get access to support.

Doorways Community Drop-in
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9am-2pm Mon/Wed/Fri
51-57 Dennis Street, ColacThe Colac Salvos Community Centre Drop-in is designed so anyone and everyone can come in, have a coffee and a chat. We desire to walk with all people and help with any need, great or small, so are more free to engage and enjoy their life.
"Doorways" provides emergency relief and holistic case management with referral to internal and external support services.
Doorways aims to support people as they seek to make changes in their lives. We believe everyone has the capacity to change and our Doorways caseworker will walk alongside people as they develop plans to achieve their goals.
We also work towards identifying and solving the issues contributing to long-term economic hardship. To do this, we continuously support and train our team to ensure that support services are of the highest quality.
Our Doorways team is working alongside any and all that need someone to walk with them through their burdens in this Colac Region, we are partnering with individuals and families for a better future.
Appointments are limited and taken on a day to day basis. Please Call the Doorways office on 5234 0600 from 9am-2pm Monday/Wednesday/Friday to secure an interview.

Community Table
Sunday 4:30pm-6:00pm
51-57 Dennis Street, Colac, VictoriaGather around the Community Table to better understand the God that created us. Our Community Table is a space to safely explore how the Bible and God can impact our day to day life and grow us into the very best of who He created us to be.
We will also be sharing in a meal afterwards, all free of charge but we are open to donations, this is also a great time to grow deep, long lasting relationships.

Community Pantry

51-57 Dennis Street, Colac, VictoriaThe Colac Salvos Community Pantry exists to support anyone needing a helping hand, it could be just a few items or up to two bags of whatever you a needing.
Our Pantry is stocked with a multitude of different items, Pantry goods, Frozen Meals, Pet food, Toiletries, Laundry Products and much more.
No Health Care Cards or the like are necessary to access the Pantry.
Our Community Pantry is available for periodic use whenever our Community Centre is open, 9am-2pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Community Breaky Bar

51-57 Dennis Street, Colac, VictoriaEvery Wednesday from 9am through till 11am, we welcome anyone and everyone that is wanting a Warm Breaky and some great conversations. It is purposed to be a Safe space and a space to get some positive Connectivity.
The only thing we ask of anyone coming in for a Breaky is to get a smile every now and again.
Come into our Community Centre whilst its running to check it out, we are here for you.

Colac Salvos Kids Playgroup
Tuesday Tuesdays @ 9:30am
ColacColac Salvos' Playgroup is designed to be a casual and safe space for all Parents or Guardians and their little ones from Newborn to School age.
Playgroup runs every Tuesday in School Terms from 9:30am-11am.
Our amazing Team of Volunteers create engaging activities for all kids to enjoy and aim to cater for every kids playing needs, and we also provide a light Morning Tea for adults and kids alike to enjoy.
Donations toward our Morning Tea are welcome but not necessary.

Bible Studies

Bible studies are a time to further delve into understanding God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and how their love for us can help lead us into a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
We have studies for both Men and Women
