Our Activities

Youth
Youth groups offer activities, outings and a focus on building strong Christian relationships for 15-25's.

Worship
Sunday 10am
The Salvation army is a Christian movement dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus in creative and tangible ways. We meet together each week to worship, pray and learn.

Women's Ministry
Come and enjoy friendship and laughter with other women. Make new friends and be encouraged by the support of others. Some of the programs available include, Bible Study, Outings, Craft, Home League and Friendship Incorporated.

Vocal Praise
Tuesday 7.15pm–8.30pm 9870 0720
Vocal Praise is a choir of adult men and women who sing in worship meetings and regularly present at concerts. If you have an interest in and/or knowledge of music and would like to know more call the leader Neil Roper

Sally's Boutique
Preloved clothing, bric-a-brac and furniture for very reasonable prices - most items of clothing are just $2.50. All goods are donated locally from Ringwood residents, and all proceeds go to the ongoing work of The Salvation Army in Ringwood.

Emergency Relief / Doorways
Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12–4pm
If you have found yourself in a difficult financial situation or other hardship we are here to assist. With a listening ear, practical helps such as food hampers, vouchers, and advocacy.

Craft
10am–12pm Thursday
All ages come together to express and share their creative skills in all kinds of craft, from quilts to sewing, to card and necklace making. Bring along your own craft and join other like-minded people, with a delicious morning tea. Free first visti, gold coin following visits.

We have a number of programs for children ranging from preschoolers to primary school including mainly music, Kids church, and Just Brass.

Tuesday evening 8:30pm–10:15pm
Ringwood Brass Band practise weekly and are involved in the weekly worship services and other concerts.

Offering preloved clothing, bric-a-brac and furniture to a wide variety of customers at very reasonable prices–most items of clothing are just $2.50. All goods are donated locally from Ringwood residents, and all proceeds go to the ongoing work of The Salvation Army in Ringwood. The store is also a wonderful link to the community. Customers enjoy seeing a smiling face and having a chat with our friendly staff. Located three buildings north of the Ringwood Salvation Army hall at 45 Wantirna Road Ringwood. Men's Breakfast
8am 1st Saturday in Feb, April, June, Aug, Oct & Dec
Men's Breakfasts provide an opportunity for men of all ages to make new friends, share a delicious cooked breakfast and settle back to listen to an interesting, informative speaker.

Monday & Thursday 10.00am–11.30am $5 a family per session
mainly music is a 30-minute fun music session for families with babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Children and their parents, grandparents or caregivers enjoy an interactive session of music and movement using instruments, rhymes, puppets and more. As well as enhancing motor skills, children learn literacy and numeracy, and enjoy singing new songs and old favourites. The mainly music session is followed by morning tea, where adults can chat and ‘recharge their batteries’ while children play. Just Brass
Friday 4pm–5:15pm (during school term)
A community brass band for primary school children who would like to learn music at The Salvation Army Ringwood. Instruments and books are provided, no experience is necessary, children are led by qualified instructors. Afternoon Tea at 4pm followed by Band Rehearsal 4:15pm -< 5:15pm. Brass Band
Tuesday 8:30-10:15pm
The Ringwood Salvation Army Band consists of 30 men and women who give their time and musical ability to support the ministry and mission of the Ringwood Corps of the Salvation Army. The band is exclusively brass and percussion, following in the British Band tradition.The band rehearses and assists in morning worship each Sunday at the Ringwood Corps. Each year the band is involved in a number of concerts, including and annual fund-raising concert for the Cancer Council, Victoria.

Home League
Tuesday 10:30am
Home League is a women's group that provides a small oasis in the week for women of all ages. Our group offers enlightenment and encouragement to each other, while at the same time teaching us and leading us to search for that deeper meaning to life.
Our meetings are varied, including speakers, bus trips, brunches and musical mornings, all with the aim of giving us a good quality of life. We, as a branch of The Salvation Army, offer something more than most groups, we offer faith and hope in a practical way. We invite you to share with us, as we are sure you will find it worthwhile. Girlfriends Incorporated
2nd Thursday every month, 7:30pm–9:30pm
Can you use a fun night out every now and again? Girlfriends Inc. (GFI) could be just what you need! An inclusive group of girlfriends who meet once a month to share in a stress free, husband free, boyfriend free, child free, work free, housework free time of fun and fellowship. The location depends on the activity! It could be a restaurant, a bowling alley, a movie cinema or a range of other 'stress-free' locations. On nights in, we usually meet at The Ringwood Salvation Army, corner of Wantirna and City Roads, Ringwood.

Prayer meetings help us connect with God, and are a vital ingredient to the ongoing spiritual and holistic development of ourselves and the church.
