Are you a single adult, couple or family who requires help to find safe, secure housing?
Are you located in South East Queensland?
The Salvation Army First Response Team can help you. We provide a first response to people experiencing homelessness across South East Queensland. We are committed to helping you explore all housing avenues and supports you require to sustain safe and stable housing. Support is provided over the phone and face-to-face in some locations.
How we may be able to help you:
- Assessment, brief intervention, referral and a voice of hope.
- Case management with a dedicated First Response case worker who will work with you to identify your needs and goals, and help you overcome barriers
- Support to explore and apply for a range of housing options, including homelessness services, private rentals, and social and community housing
- Information, guidance and referral to support you to have your immediate needs met

Dedicated Chaplain
The Chaplains role is broad and varied with its emphasis on offering practical, emotional and spiritual support. Salvation Army Chaplains are skilled listeners who respect the religious traditions, faiths or beliefs of those who seek help. The highest level of professional confidentiality can be expected when you speak to a Chaplain.

The Salvation Army is committed to ending homelessness through the functional zero method. We aim to end homelessness whenever possible and, if not, ensure that it is brief, rare and non-re-occurring.
