Use the below links to find out more about The Salvation Army’s Christmas support.

Assistance for Christmas

We understand that the rising cost of living is placing increasing financial stress upon individuals and families every day around Australia. The added pressures of the Christmas season to buy gifts or wanting to provide a nice meal for the family can seem completely out of reach. Instead of taking out a buy now pay later loan or maxing out another credit card and adding to your financial stress, talk to one of our Moneycare financial counsellors, and find out how we can support you this Christmas and into the new year.

Learn more about our free financial counselling service, Moneycare, that operates year-round. We can help you reduce your debts and suggest strategies so you can have a less stressful lead up to Christmas next year. We’d love to see you feeling more financially confident heading into the new year.

If you're seeking practical support this Christmas, please contact your local Salvos (using the tool below) for a supportive and confidential conversation about your situation.

We may be able to support you with your financial difficulties by providing vouchers, food or toys for Christmas. We may need to ask you some questions to confirm your eligibility for assistance. We will provide support where we can or refer you to another service, if required.

We would also love to hear from you if you'd like someone to talk to or pray with you, or if you have any questions about the meaning of Christmas.
