Links to Royal Commission

The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse commenced a public hearing on 28th January 2014 into four boys' homes operated by The Salvation Army's Australia Eastern Territory prior to the 1980s.

A second public hearing which began 27th March 2014 investigated The Salvation Army Australia Eastern Territory's child protection policies, how they handled claims of abuse and the policies used to discipline offenders.  To learn more about the Royal Commission you can visit their website.
