Still Standing

Still Standing is a film which has been developed to help you with long term recovery from a crisis or disaster.

It tells the story of three Australians who have experienced the devastation that natural disasters can cause. Barry, Marianne and Trisha speak about the lives that they lost, the difficulties they faced and the road to recovery they have walked.

In addition, one of Australia's leading trauma experts, psychologist Dr Rob Gordon, is featured in the extra chapters sharing his own warm, highly engaging wisdom and learnings from helping countless numbers of people find a path to recovery.

We are grateful to the millions of Australians who have donated funds, time and prayers to support those affected by disasters. We are also grateful to the Australian company who funded this project, but who have asked to remain anonymous.

Resources

When disaster strikes, it is okay to feel lost, confused, upset or even scared. Disasters can destroy not only our home and belongings, but damage our sense of what is normal. It isn’t unnatural to feel as if hope is lost.

The Salvation Army understands that natural disasters can leave lasting effects on people, long after the danger has passed. We are here to help in whatever way we can, for as long as you need.

We have put together a resource pack to help you though the process of recovery.
