Alan's Story - Newcastle Moneycare

Kristen Hartnett, a financial counsellor with The Salvation Army's Moneycare program in Newcastle, which provides support and advocacy for people who are experiencing financial problems.
Alan, who has a PhD in Psychology and was working at two universities, found himself unemployed and in financial trouble. He came to The Salvation Army's Moneycare, and found that the service offered him far more than he expected. Paul Murphy, from Churchills Carpet Court in Newcastle, encourages everyone to give to the Red Shield Appeal, because every dollar will count towards the services provided by The Salvation Army.
