The Prime Minister's National Apology

22 October 2018

The leadership of The Salvation Army acknowledges and welcomes Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s national apology to the survivors of institutional child sexual abuse.

This was a day for the survivors. We thank the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition for offering such heartfelt apologies on behalf of the Australian community.

The Salvation Army is respecting the courage of survivors with prayer and reflection at its churches, social mission centres and workplaces.
