Salvos helping hand to Sunshine kids and community

24 April 2014

The Salvation Army corps in Sunshine is providing support to the children of murder victim Fiona Warzywoda who died last week.

There has been an understandable outpouring of emotion by the local community towards this tragic event.

Many people have expressed a desire to assist the children of Ms Warzywoda in a material manner.

The Salvation Army spokesman, Dr Bruce Redman said the Sunshine corps, located at 42 Devonshire Road, is accepting donations for the children.

“Any donations of clothing or goods can be dropped at the church between 10am and 4pm on weekdays, said Dr Redman.

“The Salvation Army also has trained counsellors available to the people in the community or children of Sunshine who have been affected by this incident.”

A trust fund for the children has been set up and details are available by contacting the Warzywoda family friend Stephanie Payne at for.fiona@hotmail.com.

The Salvation Army has a domestic violence outreach program that can be contacted on 1800 627 727.
