National Volunteer Week

22 May 2018

Dear Salvo Volunteers,

Welcome to National Volunteer Week!

We would like to take this opportunity to say how immensely grateful we are to you, our Salvo volunteers, for the considerable contributions you make in your local communities. This is a special week of recognition, so we hope you take the time to enjoy one of our organised events to celebrate ‘you’ and all your hard work.

Once again, we have witnessed your efforts in action across the country. It is your involvement with The Salvation Army that enables us to change the lives of the country’s most vulnerable people.

This year the theme of National Volunteer Week is “Give a little. Change a lot.”

Many of you give more than a little and facilitate a huge change in the lives of our clients and communities. Every single day you are a central part of The Salvation Army’s success in delivering more than 1,000 social programs across Australia. Whether you collect donations for the Red Shield Appeal, pack Christmas hampers, help in our thrift shops/family stores or contribute in other ways, you help change people’s lives.

We look forward to another year of observing God’s work enacted through each and every Salvo in the Army.

Many thanks and blessings,

Floyd and Tracey Tidd.
